Description
A lovely protien dish, sure to help take the edge off your ravening hunger.
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. Ground Sirloin
  • 1 Large Yellow Onion
  • 1 Jalapeno pepper
  • 4 Green peppers
Preparation
  1. Secure the flesh of Charlton Heston. Prime cuts include the
  2. flank and shoulder. Sweetbreads are NOT recommended
  3. for this recipe.
  4. Grind thoroughly.
  5. Be sure to wash your hands! Fecal matter and
  6. formaldehyde are NOT your friends!
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, mix meat with 1 clove of crushed garlic (to ward off vampires a la Omega Man).
  2. Chop one onion, and one seeded jalapeno pepper, finely.
  3. Add one cup of bread crumbs.
  4. Mix all ingredients, seasoning lightly with salt and
  5. pepper.
  6. Spoon mixture into open and seeded bell peppers.
  7. Cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  8. Serve to guests on cardboard. Best eaten while huddled together in threadbare clothes, in a shabby, cramped tenement.

No, the subtlety of the joke is best expressed in not specifically stating the type of meat. I'm fairly sure that was a deliberate omission.
