| Description: I accidentally invented naan, or pita, or flatbread or whatever culture you happen to hail from's form of thick tortillas. Actually, I was trying to make tortillas and I messed up. This stuff is great for sopping up soups, stews and chilis, and makes a nice wrap for a sandwich. This is a super easy recipe and fun to do with kids.

| Other: | Ingredients: |
| Time: a few minutes Difficulty: Easy Serving Size: makes about 8 pieces | - 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1.5 cups warm water (approx)
|
| Preparation: |
- Get a bowl and a frying pan. Meditate deeply on the meaning of life. Center your Chi. Order a pizza.

| Instructions: |
- Mix the dry ingredients.
- Work in the shortening (I used my fingers. Add water until you have a sticky dough.
- Pull off about 3 oz balls of the dough and mash them flat; I used my hands instead of a rolling pin. Get them about 1/4 inch thick - but don't sweat the thickness - just mash them flat.
- Throw them into a hot, dry pan - no oil. When they brown on one side, flip them and brown the other and they are done.
- They should be sort of crispy on the outside and bready on the inside. Add herbs or spices to change them up.
