Extra Flavorful Mashed Potatoes

This is my favorite way to make mashed potatoes
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
about half an hour
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
serves 6
  1. 7 red potatoes
  2. garlic powder
  3. onion powder
  4. 7 small chicken boulion cubes
  5. salt
  6. pepper
  7. butter (or margarine)
  8. milk
Preparation:
  1. chop up the potatoes into small cubes, leaving the peel on.
Instructions:
  1. Cover potatoes with water, so that the water level is about an inch above the potatoes and set it on high heat on the stove to start it boiling.
  2. As it's starting to boil, add all the boulion cubes
  3. Sprinkle about a tablespoon each of garlic powder and onion powder right into the water
  4. Sprinkle some salt and pepper into the water
  5. Cover and let boil until potatoes are soft
  6. Drain liquid and smash the potatoes with a potatoe masher
  7. Keep mashing while adding butter and milk until creamy
  8. And you're done, yummy flavored potatoes, no need for gravy, but not overpowering. Perfect served alongside chicken.
