Abbotts Aerodrome, Second Life's second oldest airport, is closing on Sept 1. I'm looking for a buyer who is interested in not only a piece of prime mainland real estate next to Linden vehicle sims, but also someone who might want to run an airport.

I'm offering:

The complete aerodrome build
All Aerodrome land minus 4096 sq m

Not included:

No Cubey Terra products
No Abbotts Aerodrome or Cubey Terra names, logos, products or other trademarked content
It must be renamed... Abbotts Aerodrome has been a brand name since 2004, and therefore is a trademark
No support... I'm sorry, but I can't offer support or maintenance on any part of the Abbotts build
4096 sq m of the land. I'm an oldbie and get to keep that much for nuthin'. I'll hack off that much from the total and keep it until the lights go out.
No Cubey Terra. I'm retiring. I'm too cool to be bought.

Sad to see the Aerodrome close. It was one of the first places that Quimby dragged me to when I joined SL.

Best of luck Cubey. It was you that first inspired me to jump from so many feet and splat on the floor not knowing how to operate the parachute. It's one of my best memories of SL and really sad to see the change, but best of luck with Marketplace / new items.

sad to see it go, cubey.. definitely understand, though and i thank you for keeping it up for as long as you have.

it was one of the first places i ventured to as a newbie and it totally blew me away, being the springboard for my aviation hobby in SL and via it and people i've met through there and the sl aviation scene in general, the catalyst to my RL interest in aviation (seriously delving into the possibility of getting at least basic ultralight licensing in the forseeable future)

you and what you've made have long been a cornerstone in SL, enriching the experience for countless members. many of who probably would have lost interest way earlier without any of it.

so, yeah.. thanks. a lot. from me, and a whole bunch of other people who aren't here on SLU.

All the best with your SL retirement. I had a lot of fun there, watching it grow from the beginning and frequently going back to explore. After I moved WaterWorks to an island it was one of the few mainland places that I would go back to from time to time.

Good to see someone go out on a high note - I wish LL had done more for vehicles, it's one of the areas of SL that still needs so much work, still brings so much to the table for Second Life as a whole, and yet still gets shuffled to the bottom of the 'to fix' pile.
