It is very atmospheric. I love how you pro's do that ....it's kind of hard to explain but you start with a build and own it down to the tiny details that no-one thinks about ordinarily.

I used to GM a Cyberpunk group years ago. I basically "built" the world and let the PC's build the story. It worked out great and we played for a long time.

I like where this is going LF. It really looks like something I could have some fun with. Great job!

Sexy necro update

So I'm still working on Nu Athens, but the current implemenation is a bit... messy. I built it wrong.

It works as a concept right now, but the way I'm designing it it's tending to fall apart at the edges.

In any case, I'm going to wipe/start over. No big deal, this is what I'm doing in my spare time anyways.

BUT, due to OpenSim's completely awesome "zipped region" feature (aka save-OAR and load-OAR), I can give out the four sims for everyone to look at/tinker with/improve immensely upon.

Thus, I've hosted it on my web server for you to grab (4.8 mb zip file). It contains four sims, each connected. Best viewed in a windlight client at night, with settings such that smog/fog is the order of the day.

I'm pretty sure the sim setup is thus:

SIM 1 | SIM 2
SIM 3 | SIM 4

to load into opensim (assuming a fairly recent version)

change-region sim1 (or whatever it's called)
load-OAR nu_athens_1_12062008.tar.gz
change-region sim2
load-oar nu_athens_2_12062008.tar.gz

and so on.

I'm not offering any support. I'm not liable if it eats your hard drive. I'm also releasing the content under Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0... info here Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 United States

It's in a very rough state, but maybe someone can either admire the work, improve upon it, etc. I know a lot of people are mucking about with OpenSim, so maybe this will be a good springboard for folks.
