While I agree that that's very interesting information, I think it's disingenuous to claim he was politically assassinated when you consider the circumstances he resigned under.

It's not like he was forced to call a hooker.

But the timing is pretty sweet for bush.. like um.. well loads of things during his presidency. very nicely timed.

I'm sure lots of folks can be sanctimonious about his illicit affairs from their Trailer parks next year after wolf comes a calling.

I don't think it makes a damns worth of difference to Bush, Richie, really. And Eliot was skating on thin ice before this happened all on his own. His own party was sick of him and he has been a huge disappointment to most of us who supported him.

Honestly, Richie, Josh and I live here and voted for him and he was a nightmare before the hooker scandal.

He came in pretty much to universal praise and before this hit his approval ratings where in the toilet.

FFS he was spying on his enemies in Albany, it's been deadlocked up there he has created such acrimony.

look, I realize he might not have been Mr Popular before this all blew up (or even a decent guy.. sounds like sleeze to me) but, I still think that is a very big issue he was trying to highlight (crimes much worse than fucking a hooker IMO), and one that wouldn't just make bush look bad (file under AX123425565T), but the Republican party who are out trying to sell an older slightly smarter model of the Chimpemperor..

is anybody else trying to bring attention to it?

This is an interesting read, though I must admit that I am not knowledgeable enough in banking and finance to judge the veracity of the claims made. However, one thing seems particularly odd to me about this. If all of these things are true, why does this story need an Elliot Spitzer? If the Bush administration is so complicit, and it's all so brazen and obvious, then won't there be a cavalcade of politicians and journalists writing about this? I just don't see how "taking out" Spitzer would solve anything for the administration.

The sad truth is, if this administration is going to target everybody that is critical of them they are going to have to go after more than half of the country.

And that my friend is gonna take a whole lot of hookers.
