The 11-year-old girl told police that her father, pediatrician Melvin Morse, would hold her face under a running faucet causing the water to shoot up her nose, the Delaware State Police said. The punishments happened at least four times over a two-year period and the girl's mother, Pauline Morse, witnessed some of them and did nothing, police said.
Morse specializes in near-death experiences in children and wrote a book about the subject called "Closer to the Light" in 1991.

I can't even begin to understand or comprehend what goes through the minds of some people.

I wonder if your wish actually constitutes 2 wrongs. The first was a wrong, the 2nd ... well. If he goes to prison, unless he's kept in solitary, someone almost surely will. Inevitable.

If he gets put into general prison population, he will not last long once the inmates find out why he's there. Many of them have kids, and don't tolerate stuff like this.

I hope these children get the opportunity to be placed with loving care takers. How sad for them to be put through this by two people they should have felt safest with.
