"Book Burning" Saves Library

The Obama campaign could do worse than hire this agency.

what amazes me is that so many people didn't get the point up front... seriously?

well it worked out, so I guess I can't complain.

That would require actually stopping and thinking about things.

I like the concept of what they did. I just hope the 0.7% tax actually gets used for the library. Often times I see taxes passed in the name of one thing and used for something completely different after.

I've always voted to increase millage for use for the libraries. As far as I know it always has been used for that purpose in the areas I have lived. I've seen improvements in the libraries that were directly attributed to the increases.

What I find interesting, is that Troy has historically not been considered a poor area. I know that income levels have probably dropped during the recession, and that there are some low income people there (used to be a largish Asian community that seemed to be lower income overall), but the mean income has been quite a bit higher than many other towns that have kept their libraries. I have to wonder what's going on.

I did laugh when I saw the video, it really was an ingenious move. But unfortunately this is just another example of why politics suck. People simply can't be bothered to actually think. They only seem to want to react. And what better to get a reaction than a silver tongue?

I wish the dems would do this with Obama care. There are so many twists they could do.

Show people being moved out of their houses, handing the keys over to hospital administrators and greedy insurance executives.

They could show people sleeping on the street with gaping sores (they can film that live right in Fort Lauderdale).

They could show grandma and grandpa committing hari kari together because they can't get end of life care for one another and are in excessive pain.

Yeah, I think it would work...

It would also require that it truly seem preposterous that there would be movements in favor of burning books.

These days, it's really difficult to tell satire from reality. The right wing has just gone so far, and really is endorsing things that seem totally unbelievable.
