/me looks at the box of rocks in the corner of the garage, looks at your post...

You goof. It wasn't a troll post - it was a poke, a jab, might even be called an insult (oh nooz!).

And the difference between an unnecessary/unfounded insult that you didn't really mean and a troll is?

Anyway, the percentage of your posts that are just meaningless noise is pretty damned high. Have fun with that

Perhaps the same difference that makes your drive by jabs at some of my posts not troll posts?

Please don't admit to just being another stereotypical liberal hypocrite - my opinion of you might improve.

You mean when you asked about Romney's appeal to his voters, this thread wasn't about him?

Romney: Employees Should Know Political Implications of Their Votes

Quote:
Mitt Romney is hoping business owners will "make it very clear" to their employees what their political views are and how the November election results could impact their jobs.

At least that's what he told about 100,000 members of the National Federation of Independent Businesses during a Wednesday tele-townhall.

"I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections," the Republican presidential nominee said. "And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or whatever your political view, I hope you pass those along to your employees."

[Read: Walker win will embolden fellow GOP governors.]

Chuckling a bit, Romney added, "Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I believe that will figure in to their election decision, their voting decision."

No they won't. They didn't last time. Congressional Democrats have all the spine and organizational skills of a flotilla of jellyfish.
Republicans screw the nation by fighting absolutely everything the opposition tries. Democrats do the same by fighting nothing.

ok but serious question here: What do you actually like about Romney?

I mean, I help develop and deploy evil tech for an energy company that lefties positively hate. I own an SUV (and it ain't one of those tiny ones either). I'm fiscally conservative and my annual tax bill alone is enough to support an average family easily. Maybe even two. I'm not really into the 2 party thing, but I'm hardly a socialist and by all accounts, I should be THE model for a pissed-off republican voter (based on what they say they're for anyway).

...and yet, I can't give 2 shits about Romney being the next prez over Obama. So what is it? Is it because he likes fudge?

Perhaps if you were capable of demonstrating that you understand what those words mean, I might actually give a fuck about your opinion of me.

Also, if you offered less meaningless non-points that you don't commit to so you can back out of them when you get called on for their stupidity, my opinion of you might improve.

TL;DR: Romney's appeal is that he looks like an Easter Island statue.

I agree with that statement... Voters should know the implications of their votes.... in this case the implication would be that a vote for romney is a vote a vote for someone that believes businesses should intimidate their employees to get what they want, regardless of what those employees believe is best for themselves.

in short romney = corporate rule, whether by hook or crook

News flash, he has no appeal. No one give a crap anymore about this charade of an election. People have realized that candidates are essentially just appointed by their big money constituents and that the whole "voting" process is just a big sham to keep up the illusion of freedom.

In a way real conservatives are in an even worse position than us lefties. I have the impression your party has more or less been taken away from you in the past two decades. If the Republicans would start running real actual fiscal conservatives who weren't also theocrats, I could easily vote for them if I thought they were good and competent. But then again that's the core of our problem.

Everything is so corrupt nobody gets any representation except the crazy.

Yes, when the amount of money a candidate raises (beyond telling people they exist) affects the election by even one vote the whole system is broken. The money=votes equation we have been told is a truism is, in reality, a lie.

Hmm, what if there was a TOTAL embargo on any information about candidates, either by them or their supporters, for two years before the election? The only information would be an official announcement of who was running, individuals would need to investigate candidates on their own. Obviously some major problems with this as proposed, but suggesting it would change the conversation.

You seem to have forgotten "are terrified by the existence of a POTUS who isn't whiter than Wonder bread."

Obama is like the boogeyman to old white men who are afraid that when anybody else has power they'll do the same things that THEY did with it.
