I wouldn't trust one word ever appearing on that site as having a modicum of truth. They make Fox News look like BBC.

It's no accident that they're also advertising the book "Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide To The Resistance" by Pam Geller, right wing Birther and a virulent anti-Islamist bigot.

Most right-wing media has its share of lulz, but WND is downright fucking scary.

I was 'lucky' enough to be involved in one of their conspiracy stories awhile back. This involved them misrepresenting who they were on the phone, judging the project based on the race of the person who answered the phone (WTF?), and a combination of making up facts, twisting others, and blatantly lying.

We used to keep printouts of their 'expose' around the office. For use as a stress reliever when we wanted a laugh. Although the government higher-ups did not have the same reactions to those articles.

It is common practice in activism to over-reach, to ask for more than what you want in order to get the compromise of the issue nearer to where you wanted it in the first place.

In-your-face activism is as crucial to an issue's success as the quiet, deliberate, push by someone on the inside who seems to have the 'compromise' that is palatable to both sides of the issue. They both have their use and are in need of one another to be successful.

Further, it is in an issue's best interest to cultivate supporters and provide communication in the places where those supporters would access it so that they can lend their anonymous vote to the issue. It is important for legislators to understand the numbers of voters interested in the affirmative for a particular side of an issue.
