The number of voters who would have stayed home and not voted for him because he wouldn't take a stand have finally edged out the number of voters who would have stayed home and not voted for him because he did take a stand.

The voters who would have voted against him for taking a stand on gay marriage are irrelevant since they would have voted against him anyways believing he was for gay marriage even if he wasn't. These are also the same people who believe he is a Moslem, was born in Kenya, and for forcing them to eat vegetables against their will while grabbing their guns and banning Christianity. They also hate him because he and Michelle do the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzles in ink, particularly Tucker Carlson and Bill O'Reilly, who can only manage the Wednesday puzzle.

And don't forget that they hate him because he once knew Bill Ayers.

I think it's actually the other way round: Obama isn't driven by gay interest groups - he's prodding the Republican gay-hate reflex to trigger a wave of Republican hysteria throughout the country, reminding everyone that the GOP is full of religious bigots who don't give a fuck about equal rights, thus effectively doing the campaigning for him. Romney would without a doubt prefer to keep talking about the economy, but he doesn't stand a chance against the shrieking of the fundagelical ghouls who have taken over his party.

It's either a trigger hoax or they edited the headline rather quickly.

FoxNews recently referred to a Neo-Nazi group as a civil rights group, then changed it without posting a retraction. So, it might be the former, but the latter wouldn't exactly be surprising.

Huffington Post has the same screenshot you posted
(without the ads). Yahoo has has the accompanying article cached, with the "War On Marriage" part. (I can't seem to figure out how to link to the cached page; it was in the 11th result for a search on "Obama 'War on Marriage'".)

Fox News or The Onion? Was there a question about Fox's credibility?

I am not shocked. He had voiced support for same sex marriage before he ran for President. It was not until then that he changed his tone a bit. He knew he could win without it. Now he will pull out this card in time for this election. It could be a very smart political move.

Haha all the people angry about this are fat or middle aged white guys. I just wanna mass-spam their FB with "Hey there, maybe you should settle down a little, you know. Watch that blood pressure a bit, Mitt still needs you in voting shape!"

Yeah. I'm sure that there are many that believe he will be defeated because of this. Who knows? If this makes enough of the homophobes out to vote, I suppose it could. Then again, they may become over confidant and think that they don't have to bother because there is no way he could win after saying that. I hope it's the latter.

I'm sure many of them are elated by this, thinking they can't lose, now.
