What I just heard, ON FOX NEWS, was Rush was trying to use vernacular common to democrats when he spewed his santorum out. i.e.; dems call women sluts normally.

Please, anyone good at extracting this sort of shit from fox, please publish it in detail because it erases rush's bs fake apology.

I am totally on Sandra Fluke's side on this issue, but she could also go to Planned Parenthood and get free birth control - at least until the Rethuglicans cut funding for it.

I think they should just make it so that ALL insurance plans cover birth control - no possibility to opt out. If you don't need/want birth control - you don't have to use it. I have two co-workers who have their tubes tied and one who is post menopausal. They still have birth control AND maternity coverage on their insurance.

Well, the shouting isn't about people being forced to use birth control; it's about Why Should My Taxes* Pay for Sluts To Have Slutty Sex?

It also goes on to talk about Bill Maher. I disagree a bit with that analysis, though (the part about Maher not being a powerbroker). He's maybe not the owner of the same falsely elevated status as Limbaugh, but I don't see the logic there, he's close enough.

Bill Maher is #2 on my list of people I want to use that new Japanese STFU gun on right behind Rush. They're both followed by Pat Robertson, but I'd really prefer to just staple his lips shut. That would just be much more satisfying.

Maher lost his show on ABC when he made some comments that offended a lot of people. He's on HBO now so he doesn't depend on sponsors. It's doubtful if he could get another show on commercial television. I think a comparison between Limbaugh and Maher is fair. I happen to think Maher is funny so it would be a bit hypocritical of me to consider Rush beyond the pale (even if I think he's an asshole), but his advertisers not wanting to be associated with him is completely understandable and laudable imo.
