| John McCain to meet Gordon Brown John McCain will have a meeting with British Premier Gordon Brown this Friday in London ( McCain to visit British Prime Minister Gordon Brown - International Herald Tribune ) Obviously an attempt to be seen as an international statesman and try to get some legitimacy on the world stage , raising his profile both at home and overseas by being seen in the company of a successful politician ... ... well Gordon really needs it and I hope it works for him  McCain does already have the endorsement of the leader of the opposition here (David Cameron)
