The police officer (Sgt Smellie) charged with assault during the G20 demonstrations last year after being filmed hitting a woman has just been cleared of common assault.
The incident took place the day after the death of Ian Tomlinson. Smellie was the only officer charged with any offence during the G20 protests. No charges have yet been brought over the death of Ian Tomlinson.

Sgt Delroy Smellie denied attacking Nicola Fisher, 36, of Brighton, at the G20 demonstration in London in April last year.
The officer told City of Westminster Magistrates' Court he feared objects in her hand were weapons.
District Judge Daphne Wickham cleared him of the attack.
She found no evidence had been provided to show use of the baton was not measured or correct.
She said: "It was for the prosecution to prove this defendant was not acting in lawful self-defence.
"The prosecution has failed in this respect and the defendant has raised the issue of lawful self-defence and as such is entitled to be acquitted."
