Incomprehensible gibberish
| No, Lucifer. The future of warfare is a great underwater demolition derby. Every nation spray paints weird slogans on it's subs and we all meet somewhere at sea. The last sub standing...or floating as it were...achieves world dominance for its country. Hmm... Are demolition derbies a uniquely American experience or do they have these abominations elsewhere? |

| Neither country is in a state of war or conflict as far as the submarines are concerned. Which means that the submarines should have been pinging their fronts once in a while. There's no way to passively hear the motor of either submarine when both are meeting head-on (which is what happened from what i understand ) so it's not so much stealth technology to blame, but the lack of active sonar pinging (looking at what's in front of you). In the times of peace, you don't swim blind in hopes that someone else will make noise. |
