McCain staffer says she was mugged, had 'B' cut into face

ittsburgh Police are investigating a report by a campaign staffer for John McCain that she was mugged and the letter B was cut into her face following a robbery in Bloomfield last night. Police say that Ashley Todd, 20, of College Station, Texas, reported that the attack occurred around 9 p.m. after she withdrew $60 from an ATM at Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street.
She said a man armed with a knife demanded her money. She gave it to him and began walking toward her car, which has McCain stickers.
Although the robber had moved away from her, he became agitated when he saw her car, punched her in the back of the head, pushed her to the ground and carved a B into her face, she reported.
"This is what she's telling police," police spokeswoman Diane Richard said. "We can't substantiate it at this time."

Not to minimize the horror of this woman's experience, but I can't understand how one could carve anything so shallowly with a knife against flesh. And unless the photo is flipped, which it could be, it looks like the "B" is backwards.

I'd assume this mutilation was some sort of gang tag.

Still a horrific thing to do, but I can only assume if it had happened in say, Tarentum CT and they'd carved a T in her face, Eboni wouldn't have posted it

That backwards B is very telling. I would guess that if an attacker did this to her, it would not be backwards. On the other hand, If it was self inflicted, it would more likely to be backwards, especially if she was looking in a mirror. I'm still calling shenanigans on this.

It looks like the original picture, only larger. In it, the "B" is clearly backwards, which only makes sense if the pic is flipped, it was done using a mirror, or the attacker had severe dyslexia but with a knife - dyslexcutyoua. If the picture was inadvertently flipped, I hope whoever is responsible for the pic quickly says so. Because it makes it look suspicious, which would be unfair to this woman if the situation is true.

Yes - "scratched" is more accurate than "carved". That seems to be about as little damage one could do while still resulting in a "B". If true, it is still horrifying. But I would think it would be hard to hold down a person and use that uniformly light touch against someone's face, presumably while they writhed and try to jerk away. Even if you would afraid of making the attacker more angry, I doubt few could remain perfectly still in the time it takes to scratch a "B" that is perfectly aligned and of even depth into their face.

If she was lying on the ground, and he was standing over her head, it would be hard to carve the B into her face AND restrain her arms and legs.

If you're sitting on their chest with your knees on their arms, you maybe could write on someone, but wouldn't you twist your head back and forth, making it pretty hard for someone to write on you?

Something is odd here.

Every single one of them proven later on to be simply attention whoring and trying to cause political shitstorms.

Second link describes a recent self-harming in Belgium which the Frenchspeaking bitch tried to cover up by coming up with a story of evil Flemish gangs attacking her. French press claiming all over the place that all Flemish are racists. While every possible proof points to her harming herself and not daring to tell the truth to mommy.

This tactic is just too obvious. Easiest way to discredit your political opponents. Claim their supporters are violent mutilating gang-bangers. I hope none of these scars ever properly heal. Maybe in 20-30 years when these women look into the mirror, they'll start to realise what bitches they are.

I wouldn't want to discredit a female abuse victim either, as assault is a vile and ugly thing. However, from an un-biased opinion, I call shenannigans on her.

According to her, the perp did that to her with a knife. Over the years, I've been cut both shallow and deep with knives many a-time. Knife cuts leave dark, narrow lacerations on the skin.. not wide abrasions that don't even puncture the skin. To me, that looks like self-inflicted fingernail scratches done in a mirror. The fact that she refused medical attention afterwards doesn't help in convincing me either.

She should have been Baker Acted by the police and given a thorough psychological examination in addition to a tetanus shot and testing for HIV and Hep B and C.
