More than just shame on her. She embodies everything I'm coming to hate in this election. It wasn't long ago that lynch mobs were formed over allegations just like these and innocent black men were killed.

I dunno...

I would hate to accuse a real victim but...

It looks very suspicious to me. Generally people who are out to rob someone just take their money or purse and get away as quickly as possible.

If they are angry enough to stop and take enough time to carve their face up they generally cut quickly and deeply so that the person needs hospitalization and plastic surgery.

Last but not least, it really looks to me like she sat in the car, looked in the rearview mirror and scratched the B on her face with a car key.

If I were the responding officers I'd be suspicious.

This makes me so angry. I hope they throw the fucking book at her, and find a way to charge her with a hate crime law. This was race baiting in its most obvious form - the big black man robs, sexually assaults and mutilates the poor innocent white girl. To have staged this is so profoundly sick. I am so angry right now I should not put into words what I think of this lowlife woman, as I doubt I will hold back.

It is a good thing she didn't ID someone for the crime, or they would have gotten lynched.

As I currently sit here in the great city of Pittsburgh, in fact my office is on Liberty Avenue a few miles from this made-up event, I can say that we were viewing this with suspicion soon after the story broke. We certainly did not want to discredit a female victim and my first reaction was shock, but the backwards B etc. started raising alarms. I think our police did a good job with this one. I would say, please get this girl back to Texas, but I can delight that she will likely be a guest of the ol' Commonwealth for a little while first.

As for Bloomfield, it is a neighborhood within the city limits and can be a little rough in spots, but has a lot of old charm to it.

As for allegations that we would have lynched someone, I can say, nah, I don't think so.

Western PA has been unfairly blasted a bit lately by the likes of John Murtha and people are just a little ticked off here. This girl's bs is unacceptable and does not help. Race baiting is unacceptable and disgusting.

My comment wasn't even about PA, I didn't even think about where it happened. If she had identified some unlucky black man as having been the person who did this to her, you know there would be a crowd that would go after him. That would happen pretty much anywhere with this type of incendiary situation. When you add in not only race but politics apparently, this thing was explosive.

Wouldn't you think about the "B", realize you did it backward, slap yourself on the head for being a moron, and not appear in public until it healed?
