Correct me if I'm wrong here, but he hasn't been participating in these threads (I don't think)...until now...which is always the thing...people coming in late in the five thread discussion like, "hey, no big deal, she's FUNNY", when if you were actually in the threads, participating, you'd have had a very different experience.

Oh come on now, like -anyone- who posts here needs -any- encouragement.

Trying to lay this on the feet of one person is a bit much. I have been reading the thread from the beginning. My brother is in the sandbox, I have freinds who live in Isreal, everything the OP stands for (or supposedly stands for) goes against the grain of my very being.

But in the end, I can still laugh at her because I -know- she's an idiot. I know that in this case, she is very, very wrong. I also know that this level of ignorance runs deep and that there isn't anything I can do to change her mind about anything.

That doesn't stop me from laughing, feeling sorry for her and knowing deep down that karma is a bitch and will come back looking for some ass to kick.

RR, I do understand where you are coming from and respect it. But I do believe, your quest is doomed. Rebecca needs someoen to point out she's wrong so she can blame it on your race, sex, religion or personal affiliations. I have no quest, I know she's an idiot, yes, but at this point I hope there's the potential that she'll either leave (doubtful) or get banned (quite possible).

I'm a member on another forum with a bunch of hotheads like myself, and there is a very strict rule there on this kinda stuff. Somehow, I think we excuse people for being racists because they're anon here...however, let's say she came to your house with your family there for dinner, and started in on US Immigration Policy, and how Hispanics were dirty, and poor, and worthless, and should be deported, or stoned, or shot, or whatever. It would get old by coffee time, no? hard for me to believe you'd just sit there and not show her the door.

I was one of the first two people to--hah--dialog with her. At that point, two people PMed me to warn me NOT to engage her. Which I foolishly ignored because I was bored that night, and she of course became more and more offensive as the eve wore on.

Perhaps that might explain my sensitivity to someone else seemingly encouraging her...

There is flaw in your argument RR, I will never share a meal with someone like her; and if it did happen, I will listen to her until she gets all her hatred out of her system and then tell her that I am part of that group she hates.

Me and a friend in college went thru this with a guy that hated jews. My friend was jew and we stayed listening to all the hatred and at the end he only said... "You do know I am a semite, right?" the guy was dead white...

I apologize for my not clear use of the language. What I meant by "quest" was your intention to point Rebecca that she was behaving as a bigot. I read your posts as trying to show her the fault in her ways... and that will never solve anything.

She wants to hate your husband, your son to be, you and all your extended family on the basis of a chosen belief. THAT is overall stupid and deserves no response. This is my point of view. Laugh at her, don't try to fix that which can not be fixed.
