People always die in wars. Iraq as a "just war" is a big stretch. Some could possibly argue a "necessary" war. I wouldn't. Because if it was we would have declared war. This is a lot different than wars where us intervening shortens the duration of the war and protects countries like World War 1 and 2. Still those who advocating us being involved in those way were voting for people to die. The bloodless war hasn't been invented yet. | |

We didn't learn our lesson. Prohibition on Alcohol caused gang violence. Ending Prohibition reduced it. Prohibition on Drugs caused gang violence. Ending Prohibition will reduce it. | |

But that Pales in comparison to people trotting out "Who the military wants" to win the political election. That is the stuff of nightmares. Officers are prohibited from being political around their men I beleive. The US military has a good record of being non-partisan as an organization. But it requires constant vigilance. Especially when its the most powerful Military in the world. | |
