The guys on FoxNews were asking McCain's spokesperson, but what about all those poor folks in Mississippi who have been planning the debate and who have spent large sums of money on it?? Response by McCain's spokesperson: Well, someone has to pay.

It's a bit of a no win isn't it?

They blow off the economy issue to have the debate, they look like they don't take being a senator seriously, and that they're willing to risk the entire economy so they can shout sound bites at each other.

They put off the debate and they look like they're just pandering for votes with a "get it done" work ethic.

Personally I would put having a functioning economy on Monday morning a higher priority than having some debate Friday Night.

But call me crazy, I like my money....

Hi ... I'd like to introduce you to Mr and Ms MiddleClassAmerican ... they'll be paying; for the debates AND for the bail out (read "bail out" as "more money for those who already have more than they know what to do with") they're working on that has them too busy to do their debating!

That is the most desperate, pathetic thing I have ever seen. McCain's campaign is tanking, so now he is suspending it in the name of fixing the economy? We still need to elect a president in a little over 30 days. What next, suspend the election?
