Anyhow...for the Topic:

Good for her, she's so popular now...she still is a religous nutcase, a christian right wing, a Talibaptist, and should be anywhere, but not in reach of the presidency of the nation with the most powerful army in the world.

I'm actually more afraid of another one of such people in power that I am of the likes of Ahmadinejad...

And I still pity her daughter...that young guy, the father of her baby, he looked like some McCain Campaign Manager abducted him from home...put him in a suit that was two numbers too large, and before he got pushed on stage, they told him to hold her hand...

Still, a high entertainment value, that whole stuff...

OK, how about Nomad/Costagravas '08 then? You can go to all the parties and I'll stay at the White House and play video games in the theater, unless there is a major crisis of course.

I'd need to see a picture or something, but my memory of the scene is that there was McCain, husband of Palin and the son who is off to Iraq to fight shortly up on stage.

There was a Chicago radio personality who was covering the convetion for ABC news, he had a comedian on the show who said it looked the young man had been forced. The radio personality said he saw them later in the convention hall, back stage still holding hands even when there were no cameras and no was paying attention to them.

I don't think it is completely out of the realm of possibility that they are in love and want to married. One of the most loving marriages I have ever witnessed in my life was the marriage of my college roomate parents who had been together since they were 15, almost 40 years now. They had my roommate at 16, went to college together, and later had more children.

Great story! If you think about it, 17 is almost too old to be married.

Oddly enough, I haven't seen that McCain "Obama is a celebrity" ad this week. I guess being a celebrity is ok again.

Except not too much of a celebrity: on the Sunday political talk shows, McCain, Obama, and Biden are all scheduled to appear. Palin? Hmmm, the McCain management didn't want her to appear. I think she is going to be studying some more. Kind of like going to her sixth college, only harder. And more important.

Not on your life!

McCain knocks Obama as "celebrity" again - War Room - Salon.com

Quote:
The ad, called "Temple," mocks Obama's speech at the Democratic convention before the throngs at Invesco Field, as a female voice-over intones: "Take away the celebrity. The thrilling words. What's left? Old ideas masquerading as change."
