The mistake for the Dems would be to try to land a killing blow in the VP debate. There is unlikely to be any single "gotcha" moment. Biden has superior knowledge and experience, and Palin is the least experienced of the four candidates. There's no need to overshoot.
Yes, well, this is where it becomes something of a test for Biden who is known to be sarcastic and go in for the kill.

Nobody says debates are easy. And it's good he has those instincts if an opening for attack does present itself.

I fully expected him to pwn her in the debates even before I learned about her.

Now to me the trick will be not humiliating her and making people feel sorry.

Obama is not Kennedy. When he isn't reading he speaks as eloquently as a 12th grader.

A woman in power only has two choices, look like a ditz with long hair or cut it off or... put it up. I would rather she just cut it off.

you know that could be a look. If you've got strong bone structure. A simple, classic set of earrings. I'd be down with that.

The updo will always look like... well a "do" rather than an actual cut. So it looks like you never change your hair rather than have a style. She has good bones, she is a former beauty queen, get a nice cut, she will look more attractive frankly. And loose the glasses, they don't make you look smart, it looks like you are playing school mistress with that updo.

That is all.

You can have an up do without the bulgy look. That's what I find distracting. Its got a life of its own back there.
Why does she have to appeal to women as a frumpy school marm? Its a bit insulting. Wear lipstick, a modern hair style and be pretty damn it.

Yes, and they aren't committing voter fraud in the process.

The caveat being that he's going against McCain. He wouldn't have done well against the other Democrats either.

OMG!!! Are you telling me Obama snuck out to Kansas City and committed voter fraud? I bet he did his famous "terrorist fist bump" afterwards! And to top it off, he talks like a twelve year old! Is there no end to his nefarious deeds?!?!?

Just goes to show, Republican FUD is always in season.

my mother told me Obama was a fascist. He'll have us all goose stepping before you know it. And have the Obama youth doing his bidding.

If her hair is wavy, or curly it would take forever to style it in the morning to get it to look like that. But I like it.
Remember when we first saw Hillary Clinton's hair? It's gotten progressively shorter. Could you say a woman shortening her hair style is going a little masculine? and trying to fit in with the old boy's club?

I think her hair never looked so good, to be honest. It's flattering and still feminine.

Short doesn't mean asexual or masculine, it really depends on the cut and who is wearing it.

I mean on Audrey Hepburn it looked almost childlike.

You have to have a good shaped head, then bald is fine.

I would look horrid, lol. Portman looks even more beautiful, her head is so good. Women with fine features can look even more feminine with very short hair.

Like Dianne Wiest before she blew up, lol.

Always struck me odd, women who were always skinny who hit a certain age and suddenly gain like 100 pounds.

I adore her. I just love hearing her speak.

Well we really derailed this thread, eh?
