But America keeps falling for that Cris.

Edit -

Her Debates with Biden could be the first true test.

I thought the speech was both vague on policy and full of factual holes. And whoever thought it was a good idea to attack community organizers should be quietly let go. If I'm the Dem leadership I'm quickly compiling a list of great Americans, both liberal and conservative, who have a background in community service.

I was surprised more Republicans didn't feel she insulted their intelligence with the immaturity of her digs and her faux-naive political stands. She's very engaging, but she used the Bushism-of-Death, the word "evil"...

Absolutely Cris. I have watched most of both conventions, and it amazes me how both sides eat this stuff up. It's like we suspend critical thinking, as long as it's our candidate, and then will accept any rumor as absolute truth as long as it's the other side.

After watching her on Friday I thought tonight was going to be a blood bath. She did an AMAZING job. She is an excellent speaker! She did the job of a VP, she was an attack dog. She answered the questions about her experience, she went on the offensive. It was a fun speech to watch. I think she did a great job appealing to rural America. I some from a small military town and a large college town and she did a good job describing the people I know and grew up with and how they feel about America. I watched with two of my friends also from small town America and they felt the same way. I think she is going to connect with people in small towns and she is going to connect to average working class Americans and working Moms. It is going to be exciting to watch her over the next couple of months.

I liked Romney's speech( he is so hot, why does he have to be a stupid Mormon), I loved Huckabee and Guiliani was as to be expected. The beginning of tonight's coverage started off so boring, the eBary former CEO was boring, the HP chick is a terrible speaker and she kept turning in odd ways, at least it appeared that way on CNN. I tuned in expecting a snoozer and I was pleasantly surprised.

What about the little girl using her spit to slick the hair down on that baby?

Attacking a community organizer for a group as corrupt as ACORN can only be a good thing. I wonder how many of them will be arrested this election year.

I think Obama is going to look good in the debates. Whether he "wins " on issues or not.

He comes off as an intelligent, naturally confident person even compared to other politicians.

That is such a mom-thing to do, the spit-grooming. Dads don't do that, they don't care if the baby's hair is standing up. It was definitely adorable.

Will it be as many as Republican congressmen? Let's have a race!

Republicans denegrating the concept of community service is good for the Dems.

ACORN is not freaking community service. They are not saving babies, they are just trying to rig elections. If you are going to defend community service at least defend something worth it.

Until tonight I didn't realize community service needed defending. Are community organizers worse than terrorists? I ask because I'm not familiar with the Republican threat scale.

i don't think it's a suspension of critical thought. for me, it's more the glaring obviousness of some serious disparities between the two opposing parties.

she was about as believable as a used car salesman telling someone that this is a great car...

Where I am, they're helping people facing foreclosure keep their homes. Nefarious, indeed!

People keep saying that Biden will rip her a new one, but how do we really know that will happen. He is known to say something that he shouldn't have said in the first place and gets roasted for it later. Especially his "manic-obsessive running of the mouth." as described by a columnist for the Washington Post. He'll have to be careful what he says about her or to her or it could blow up in his face big time.

I guarantee the Obama/Biden campaign is not thinking in terms of "ripping her a new one." They are simply thinking in terms of winning the debate. Biden will be charming and knowledgeable. Palin, who got her first passport in 2006, will have A LOT of prep work to do particularly on foreign policy.

The mistake for the Dems would be to try to land a killing blow in the VP debate. There is unlikely to be any single "gotcha" moment. Biden has superior knowledge and experience, and Palin is the least experienced of the four candidates. There's no need to overshoot.

Chuck Norris should be President.

Scientists in Washington have recently conceded that, if there were a nuclear war, all that would remain are cockroaches and Chuck Norris.

They need to work on Obama winning debates, he hasn't done well in debates up until this point.
