I also think the Republicans have no business whining about the negativity, they have used the exact same techniques with great frequency. When they stop "accidentally" using Osama in place of Obama, then they can claim the other side is being nasty.

Ok, in the spirit of intelligent and reasoned dialog, let's work backwards: what is it that you know about Barack Obama that gives you the impression he wouldn't be fit to care for your dog?

McCains campaign is going into news blackout mode.

Senior adviser Steve SCHMIDT will put out a statement today about Palin vetting: “The McCain campaign will have no further comment about our long and thorough process.”
Like they think that will put an end to it?

I blame McCain and his campaign; they researched this pick about as well as Bush researched the case for war in Iraq. BLINDERS ON!

I don't blame the media for doing their job, but come on guys, the job is done; this is overkill.

As for the Repubs whining about the negativity? Allow me to remind you that the hatchet man, Karl Rove, has been in your corner for years.

Rumours abound that some obscure right wing thinktank actually vetted and picked her leaving McCain no choice.. would explain the instant 10 million into the bank so suddenly!

That's true - it is rough business being in a border state. I used to live in Minnesota, and we were constantly under fire from those sneaky Canadians. At one point, we each held the others' supply of polar fleece hostage until our governor got those stinking socialists to agree to stop making affordable prescription medication pricing look like such a great idea! Damn those socialists!

I really don't want to rehash the past 44 pages of posts for you, Hope.

Are these really your statements? Or are you just regurgitating Malkin talking points? Your answer is a bit all over the map.

First, what 'executive experience' does McCain have? By your standards perhaps the ticket should be reversed?

The key metric isn't how many people each has managed (although Obama's campaign reportedy has over 2500 employees). It is how well that person manages what they are in charge of. Obama has shown over these past months that he is a capable leader, and has overseen a very well run campaign.

In contrast, there are reports that Palin mismanaged a car wash that she and her husband owned. The violation letter was sent to her on her own letterhead.

Nor does the amount of land matter. I don't think anyone would equate the challenges of Alaska's governor with California's, New York's, Texas', or heck even Arkansas'.

What international issues has she, as Governor, had to deal with concerning Russia? The cold war ended 20 years ago.

Your last sentence really has no bearing on your argument. It is in fact a false choice. Every first term vice president learns on the job. There isn't exactly an internship program. And we don't expect presidents to be trusted with our dogs, we expect them to be trusted with the keys to our nuclear arsenal.

Come on, you can do better than vitriolic diatribe. I know you can!

Let me guess.. you heard Cindy say that on the television.

I used to have respect for Mrs McCain, but after that nugget, I can see why Hensley & Co won't let her come within a 100 miles of having anything to do with actually running that business.
