I am less irritated by the pick and more by the coverage I heard on my local NBC affiliate this morning, which described her as "mother of four and Governor of Alaska." You'd never hear a male politician introduced to the country as "father of four and Governor of Alaska."

There are some Gay people who want the Civil Union Stuff, think that using the word Marriage isn't necessary and just inflammatory.

Others instead agree with Republicans on everything except Gay Marriage.

In fact its discriminatory to suggest Gay people cant be strict Conservatives, really.

Good point, I suppose. I have not met a gay republican that I know of yet though. So I was not being discrimatory, just posting from what I've seen.

Really, with parental status coming first and all? I haven't heard that.
