I've consistently criticized random ridiculous blogs being used as a primary source for complaints on either side.

No, they aren't okay there either.

And incredibly biased sources are not legitimate to a debate in any event, be they right or left.

Want to impress me, use a legitimate news source.

Beware the ides of October.......Hillary and Bill arn't done yet
Will not happen.

If they do anything to undermine Obama, their party clout in the Democratic party will be gone.

Thats why they had to endorse him at the Convention.

She'd stand a better chance of running against Obama as an incumbent in 2012 than winning in your scenario.

She will be 68 in 2016, potentially young enough. She is still a senator. She is not going to vanish.

I agree.

I usually view Blog sources as no more credible than a poster I never heard of making a post,

Since it is just opinion.

Unless it is something like an Op Ed from someone who is known for fairness and critical thought.

Washington, DC – August 26, 2008 – The Barack Obama campaign has resorted to a campaign of intimidation and legal threats to convince television stations and the federal government to force off the air an ad by the American Issues Project detailing the link between Sen. Obama and remorseless domestic terrorist William Ayers.

The Obama campaign has been contacting stations running American Issues Project’s ad in an unsuccessful attempt to compel them to pull the spot. The Obama campaign also sent a letter yesterday to the Department of Justice asking the government to investigate American Issues Project, its officers, board of directors, and donors. With no success on either front, the campaign has begun running its own ad in response. Notably, this ad fails to dispute a single fact in the American Issues Project’s initial ad

American Issues Project sent a letter today to the Department of Justice responding to the Obama campaign’s claims

http://www.americanissuesproject.org/

Surely we have not come to a point where the government and its agencies are used to protect presidential candidates from citizens’ speech, essentially destroying the very purpose, meaning and historical essence of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution

The thing about it, at least to me, if Obama would have said something like, yes Ayes lived near me, I know him and I served on various committies and such with him over the years, but I don't endose or agree with his actions, this would have been a non issue.

But when Obama says "he's just a guy who lives in my neighborhood", and changes the topic, people are gonna dig, wondering what he is trying to hide

Apparently, "evidence" drawn from her own ass is a truthful and correct. She does not want to give out the name of the (former) "Congressional Investigator". Claims to be "Independent". Tries to change the subject with talk about an injunction. The next time "PUMA" wants some airtime, they need to gag this bitch and hide her in a broom closet. She's not helping them at all.

Doesn't care about free speech? Politics as usual. There is a long list. The documents about his association with Ayres were released by UIC only because people in Chicago, several talk show hosts bombarded the college with calls and forced them to release the documents after they stalled for weeks.

As nation watches Denver, Obama campaign muscles Chicago station over ex-radical Ayres | Top of the Ticket | Los Angeles Times

Charismatic, silencing dissent, ego the size of Pangaea. That is change we can believe in.

The two papers in Chicago are battling to stay alive, they both can't last, they are willing to be as sensational as possible. Obama angering the Chicago media would be an extremely bad move at this point, these papers have nothing to lose and they will investigative report his ass as they LOVE to do.

He said that but no one cared. He went to a political meeting in his house. The fact Obama denounce him is curious he just wants to shut the whole thing up.

Ayers And Obama: What Is Their Relationship?

If Ayres is so bad, why isn't he in jail? I don't get it.

He got off on a technicality because of some bad investigative techniques used to gather evidence against him. He's never denied he tried to bomb the police building, or been the least bit repentant of the fact...and association with anyone of that ilk is more than enough to make me go pause when it comes to voting into the office of President someone who does.

This isn't a one-to-one comparison, but it is something interesting to bear in mind:

Harry S. Truman - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Truman went from haberdasher to county judge to Senator in 9 years and became the VP candidate on FDR's ticket in 1944.

Quote:
Truman, whose demeanor was very different from that of the patrician Roosevelt, was a folksy, unassuming president. He popularized such phrases as "The buck stops here" and "If you can't stand the heat, you better get out of the kitchen."[1] He overcame the low expectations of many political observers who compared him unfavorably with his highly regarded predecessor. At one point in his second term, near the end of the Korean War, Truman's public opinion ratings reached the lowest point yet recorded for any United States president until George W. Bush. Despite negative public opinion during his term in office, popular and scholarly assessments of his presidency became more positive after his retirement from politics and the publication of his memoirs. U.S. scholars today rank him among the top ten best presidents. Truman's legendary upset victory in 1948 over Thomas E. Dewey is routinely invoked by underdog presidential candidates.
I'm NOT comparing Truman to Palin, but I do think it's unfair to judge someone's capabilities before they get their chance to show their mettle. There are plenty of examples in history that should inform us on that.

No strawman.... the point (over your head??? whoooosh!) is that she is a completely unknown... completely unvetted ... completely untested in any campaign that has reached beyond a population base over a couple hundred thousand. Who knows what's waiting beneath the covers for the national media to uncover? Her attempts at using her office to fire a public official due to a familial spat offers an ominous indication.

Yeah, you guys go with those Ayers stories. I can see why you'd want to change the subject from Palin.

It is not over my head. When I say the same things about Obama, all I get is hope, puppies and sunshine as an excuse for his thin resume and shady past.

Obama was elected to the Senate and his wife salary doubled while she ran a project with FEDERAL FUNDS to disenfranchise poor patients in her neighborhood, at so called non-profit hospital. There is plenty of shady dealings all the way around. Obama is far from squeaky clean and experienced.

We can play this game all day or until my Sims download folder finshes compressing...
