There won't be real campaign finance reform in this country until people are willing to elect someone on that platform and support the hell out of them with cold hard cash.

You seem to spend a lot of energy criticizing Obama without elevating McCain.

Pointing out the concens about one candidate doesn't require you to say anything at all about any other candidate.

Well I'm going to disagree on that.

Especially when her only concerns ever are about Obama and requests for similar responses about McCain haven't been addressed.

You are correct. Just know also it does little to sway wishy - washy voters like myself who are not loyal to any party.

At this point there are hundreds of thousands of us that you couldn't convince we shouldn't be voting for Obama, though alot of us can be sold on the fact that we should be voting for McCain.

So far I see the same tactics being used in 2004 that made me not vote for Kerry. I instead decided not to vote at all, mainly because of the Bush tactics. I will not fall for the same thing again. I regret it now because I think America lost out on a great leader in John Kerry.

Huh? I'm going to vote for Obama.
Doesn't mean I'm not going to point out problems with him.

You're still treating this as an either-or issue.
Love Obama / Hate McCain... Hate Obama / Love McCain.
Each candidate stands alone. It's possible to hate them both and vote for one. Or love them both and vote for one. Or vote for neither.

Post stuff about McCain yourself.

Ask in a public forum and it's up for grabs. If you want to have a private conversation, take it to PM.

I see alot of years of nothing so far from him. I hate to use the corny catch-phrase names people make up, but McSame really does seem fitting.

I have no interest in McCain he isn't my candidate. I will bash Obama at will.

Dude.. what is your problem.

Since when did disagreeing with you, civilly I might add, mean antagonistic or an attitude problem... and frankly your "get some meds" is over just the kind of line that you throw a 5-page rant about and demand apologies for.

Oh.. and just so you know how assholish that comment was, I'm currently taking 5 meds and scheduled to go under the knife to have three pituitary tumors removed the first week of August, but none of that means I can't detect someone with a hard-on for another forum poster or a poorly reasoned argument.

Sorry for your medical situation, it's no excuse for attempting to guilt trip me with it though.

I'm not in guilt trips, not taking them, not sending them.

I'm trying to remind you that when you decide to get all pissy and rip on someone you can't know what else is going on... so you should seriously think about not doing it.

I'm a really straight-forward person... that's why I tell you what I think instead of doing some weird mind-fuck, or PM backbiting. Not everyone is like that.

You can proclaim all you want that you're being civil, but when you broadside me with some pissy remark in response to a comment that wasn't even directed at you to begin with, it's anything but.

And if you think that was ripping on you, you haven't seen me when I'm really irked.

I've seen you launch vicious personal attacks on people and all that will happen if you try that with me is that I will put you on ignore.

You can interpret what I said as pissy, but it's your interpretation. I disagreed with you, and like I said... if you say it in a public forum, it's open to response by anyone. You often jump into threads where you weren't addressed, so I don't see how you get off on telling anyone else not to do it.

You want to rag on Eboni, go for it.. I could care less about the personal drama agendas around here. If you make a statement I disagree with in the process of that, well I'm going to say so.

I agree/disagree based on the issues, not on if I like somebody. There are very few people on this forum who I dislike, yet I have disagreed with any number of people's statements.

I'd suggest taking disagreement less personally. If I want to insult you, you won't have any doubts whatsoever of my intent.

So why aren't Republicans happy that their taxes won't be paying for Obama's campaign?

Obama: Hey, if you and I can come to an agreement about the loopholes in the rules, i'll consider public financing.
McCain: Hmm what?*while breaking the law regarding public financing.*
Obama: Uh... I don't think i'm interested in a deal with you anymore. Looks like i'll have to not use public financing after all.

Boy that Obama guy is a hypocritical douchebag.

I consider Eboni a good friend. You notice you're the only one hyperventilating about our discussion, and not her?

I know you want to pat yourself on the back for your cliche there but really, it's trite.

It seems that he said he would use it if McCain also agreed.

McCain wouldn't agree, Obama decided not to use it, now suddenly as it's politically advantageous for McCain to be sanctimonious about it, McCain is all over the newspapers about how he's going to use public financing.

While, ofcourse, still utilizing the loopholes he's managed every other campaign.
