My Mood:  Client: Firestorm | I have been following Oliver Willis for awhile and have enjoyed his perspective. He's a fiction writer, and has outdone himself. Keep checking back, since he adds to this thread of tweets every chance he gets. While it's not a literary masterpiece by any stretch, it is funny, and some of the nuance and imagery is genius! |

His words, I suppose, are no cause for surprise, but pretty clearly either increasing arrogance, indeed, hubris -- "I'm POTUS so I can say what the hell I want to" -- or a growing lack of ability to self-censor is becoming a problem. Ironically, we are so used to that we think the opposite when someone says something. I was once asked if I did something when I was a kid that I did not do (calling the local cop a pig, which he was BTW). Rather than just do the simple 'I did not do it' I started talking about philosophy and multi-universe theory. Yup, the conclusion was that I did it.
