So what is IRC?

Not only is this a great way for everyone to chat to other residents about SL (be it while at work, school & whatever) it also a great way to promote the social side of secondlife to a huge population of gamers and internet citizens.

How do I join the Second Life IRC chat?

• You need an IRC client, we suggest IceChat. Its free and easy!
• Once installed connect to irc.gamesurge.net
• Once connected join the channel #SecondLife (either through the GUI or by typing the message '/join #secondlife' (without quotes)

Chanel Operators (admins) will be selected from those who are active in the IRC channel as time moves on.
