IMVU has launched a major overhaul of their 3d chat. It is definitely more streamlined and advanced than previous versions, but is still not a direct SL competitor. The one feature IMVU has that I wish SL had is it has full preview on items before you buy.

Shopping is now fully integrated into the client, instead of using a web page:



Overall it seems to be a pretty well done update. There is a lot SL could learn from IMVU in terms of ease of use.
