InWorldz Server updates were accomplished successfully on April 12th. We are now running on OS 0.6.4, notes follow below.

Alot of thanks to the OS group for all these great fixes! Be sure to report any bugs you find!

With our latest upgrade came some features we added into the server. I didn't define these below because they required some extra web side work to implement them.

Parcel Sales - Parcel Sales are currently working (although currency is still defunct basically heh), however, when you set a parcel for sale, it will list in the Search Box (give us up to 24 hours to get it in the search... this will be cron'ed later on). Please note, do not TOY with this feature, as the code to remove the item from the database is not functioning. I will need to work on this in the next week or so.

Events - Basic events listing. Web side coding included getting the Event creation and Event Listing pages working, these are now fully functional, with some minor tweaking still needed. However, they will show up now in the viewer as well under Events. It will not TP you there, it will not provide any further information other than the actual event. And the viewer code also needs a bit of tweaking as it shows ALL events (even those I coded in for 2008!). Website however will only show current or upcoming events.

Popular Places - is now tracking traffic for places. So long as you have your region listed for being Searchable (under About Land, Options). It will update daily to show popular places.

Places - You may now search out stores in the Places tab, if they have set their region/parcel to be searchable. TP does work with this option.

People - You can now search out people in the People tab as well for Search. It will pull up their profile, and you can IM them and so on, within the capabilities of Profiles at this time anyways.

I strongly encourage everyone to use these features (they should work regardless of which viewer you use, Hippo or InWorldz) and report anything you might find.

Thursday, June 18, at 10pm PDT, the server will be completely shut down as we transfer over to a bigger server. All services will be down for less than an hour, the site will be brought back up first, then we'll restart the grid. All regions and services are expected to be back up and running within 3 hours.
