On a more serious note though, they might be looking at certain age groups first...like, their target demographic and people who are of an appropriate age to be parents to that target group.

OK, first impressions are that it's tacky, but entertaining. Whenever I lose interest, a completely different task comes along and engages me again.

Cristiano is the first person I've spoken with in game, and clearly I need more practice because the UI kept confusing me and sidetracking me from the conversation.

When he introduced me to his pets, a huge dialog popped up with lots of picture buttons, perhaps because I hit a key I shouldn't have, and dismissing them completely disoriented me. I also kept repeating myself because things I was saying weren't appearing in the chat window, but I don't think that had anything to do with lag (his chat was still rolling up the screen).

Bots keep addressing me as *targetname* too.

I'm not complaining. The game is still in beta after all.

The servers are down right now.

I chose a pixie character because I'm tired of playing humans in MMOGs (and Windypants, because I'm tired of Moore

) , but people on the forum are saying pixies are associated with kid players.

I'm tempted to delete my character and create a human.

I'm thinking that my graphics card is failing, i tried playing and my pc hard locked and i had to use the button to restart my pc, its been happening on wow and sl too

Alternatively, it might be overheating because the fan failed. Have you tried checking the CPU and GPU temps?

If you upgraded the graphics card or motherboard drivers prior to the hard lockups, it might be worth rolling back to the previous version.

checked the bios and the temps are as follows

system temp 33C 91F
Cpu temp 37C 98F

Well that's good! If you can't get a reading for the GPU, it might be worth taking the lid of the computer and seeing if the fan spins up on the graphics card when you're playing SL.

Because.. you might only have to replace that fan instead of the whole card.

Alternatively it really could be the drivers (if you've recently upgraded them) and nothing to do with the hardware at all.

Hmm, I said "that's good", but I was assuming SL was running when you got the temps. I need to learn how to read.

ETA: You can use Everest to get temps while you're in Windows.
