Pleasure Planet will be back on-line very soon!

This morning we had the first informal founders meeting, ironically enough it was held in SL because PP is still down! lol

All the current regions owners, Exotic Pleasure (who was our first volunteer builder and has been doing an awesome job!), and I were there. We have 2 new Pleasures (our new Grid God and Banker Pleasure) who were unable to attend.

In a nutshell, Pleasure Planets old database was corrupted beyond repair. We took a vote on whether to continue hammering on it to see if we could salvage it or just start over with a new database and a new install.

The vote was unanimous and we will be starting over from scratch and loading the most recent stable oar (save) files for all the regions. We can now join the ranks of the other OS based grids who have had a database crash! lol Not exactly a club I was in a hurry to be in but we did learn a couple lessons and that's what alpha testing is for. Remember this is still alpha software!

I am proud to say ALL our region owners are sticking it out, of course a free months tier never hurts but there is no way I could charge for tier this month when we have been down for 6 days now.

We are in process of the fresh new build now and will be back on line even better than before very, very soon!

Pleasure Planet is simply a fun "Fantasy Island" type of place for people to have inexpensive virtual land to build, play and live on where you don't have to worry about kids. It is not being advertised on any adult websites. This is in response to citizen questions. It's just an adult playground with very lax rules about content.

And we now have over 5 years of combined OS experience behind the wheel! We had 97% stability before, being offline only for updates and the occasional region crash/ restarts and things will only get better.
