All these other grids are popping up and it's hard to keep track of what's going on. In all the shuffle, I realized that there are individuals who are hosting these grids that I (or others) wouldn't normally give personal information to in SL, and certainly not outside of SL. (Name, address, PayPal Account, Credit Card Info...things of that nature.)

Are the owners of these grids operating as their SL names or their new "Linden-like" names (i.e. Jane or John Legend) or are they coming forth as real businesses?

And once again I suppose the argument that although seeming to emulate Linden Lab is obvious, they are not Linden Lab. But should we not expect a certain level of transparency from a new business where you are expected to provide YOUR personal info and spend thousands of dollars?

Personally I don't trust any of them and I won't be giving any RL info unless I have RL info from them first (like RL registered business address, contact telephone number etc).

This is one of the reasons I am posting all my own & company info. on the main site and here as well as a few other places. All principles will be named before opening. I believe for anything like this to work you need full transparency.

Too many people allready have a bad taste in their mouth from OS based grids.

I'm also making a deal with an outside firm to handle the money end so as a company Pleasure Planet will never know anything about you except your avatar name, the RL name you sign up with, your age and the e-mail addy you use to sign up.

Thanks, but which grid is yours if you don't mind me asking? Or are you just getting started?

Oh, I'm not even in public beta testing yet.
Fighting with the database migration now.
Haven't even deployed the full website yet but I guess I can do that this week.
Maybe next week we'll open for private Beta testers.
Getting closer but not there yet!

I do agree that handing money and info. over to just anyone is scary though.

Pleasureplanet.net eventually =)
It's (cor- it will be, lol) an adults only grid.
