Ok, don't you start with Summer or you will have to get past me, which is no small feat, Missy.

I've had my say. Good night, everyone!

P.S. Nice post on your blog, Josh. I feel supremely unqualified to offer an opinion, but I like that you are writing on weighty issues. I've added the blog to my browser, and will keep an eye on it.

Hey, Io, would you mind putting all your one- and two-liners in one post. It will really make catching up on things in the morning a hell of a lot easier.

Oh, yes, one other matter: I realize that I can no longer conceal my infatuation with Summer. This has been brewing for a long, long time, but I may have to act on it at some point in the future. That is all.

You know what was on tonight? The Sound of Music. I can't listen to "My Favorite Things" now, without thinking of Max Von Sydow singing it in Needful Things as Satan.... "brown paper packages wrapped up in strings... these are a few of my favorite things...."

Well all I have to say...is pay your bill, you stay connected. If LCO was giving away free sims then there would be a post saying how unfair it is for the small businesses. Also, wouldn't some other "big wigs" in SL be contacted with the same deal? Its rediculous I was offered the same deal only difference is i took only one sim cause that's all i could afford. LCO is a small COMPANY... and a company cannot survive on friendship alone. If there was no intent to pay...then why try to make arrangements to pay? The chat log was from live chat....resident initiate live chat not the company....and when Simone initiated that chat stating I wanted to contact you to let you know that she did intend to pay but was just a bit behind(not an exact quote) speaks volumes.

Nice passive-agressive swipe at my validity there. My RL occupation does not have any bearing on my comments.

I'm glad you're having a good time, that's what we're here for..

Lala: "I really dont give a poop whatcha say and I am not interested in your demands either."

Rubbish.
I'll give you that, partially. Had Lala posed that statement a little better, it would have carried much more weight.

Quote:
"This is a private financial matter between LCO and one of our clients, and it is not something that we will discuss in public. While many (all/whatever) of the allegations printed in the preceding weblog posting are either false or erroneous, we feel it an inappropriate forum for conducting private business, and this is the last we will comment on the matter."

Something like that, I'm not a corporate/legal type.

Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. No reputable company or corporation would engage in a bitchslap fight on a blog.
That is all well and good, however, it does not clear the accusations. Most people (I think), as you have, would take time to research a product before buying. Having an unchallenged negative comment posted in public view could sway someone's choice about the product, should they not know much about the source.

Quote:
I don't care, because the source of the problem is irrelevant. I'm speaking about LCO's response.

Masses? Look, if their business model is so weak that they'll suffer losses or go under entirely based on some blog post, they ought to consider a new endeavor. I mean, really, just how many people do you think are contained in your masses?

Prok is a nosebleed, I've felt this way within about the first week of reading her blog, a couple years ago. Even with a few occasional insights that strike true, it is all pretty much devalued due to the delivery. No responsible, respectable business would or should ever allow themselves to end up arguing in a forum like that.
I disagree, I think the source of the problem is very relevant, at least in this case. If a single line of text (thats the only example you gave me) from a person who was backed into a corner was what swayed your interest in their business, then you've proven my point about why it would be so incredibly important for her to act to dispel the accusations laid out.

Yes, masses, masses being any potential customer, or causal reader that happens across that post. Upon first look, even someone who is wary of Prok's nonsense, would read the line as "LCO is stealing content" and immediately form an unfavorable impression of LCO. Nosebleed or not, her (mis)information is publicly available to the entier internet, ignoring or brushing off her posts with some leagalese is not going to make the problem go away. The only way to fix the problem is either for all sides to come clean or for the contrary evidence to be presented, publicly if needed.
