We're going to be doing another similar load test to today on May 21, 6PM ET until approx 6:30PM, and some more free hosting will be on the cards. We got about 20 people to show up this time - but I'd like to be able to get approximately double that next time.

The first test was a reasonable success - at least one performance bug has been fixed as a result of the test data we got out of it, we hope to get some more data out of it in larger numbers of avatars.

Going to move this one to tommorow (Thursday 22nd, 6PM ET) as we need to install a different configuration and I dont have the time to do it today.

PS - would it help if we log in multiple avatars? I can do four or five fairly easily.

Yeah. It's basically the number of connected LL clients that matters. (libsl bots dont produce the background bandwidth load we need to worry about)

OK, Server is up - I'll officially start the test in 15 minutes, but you can login now.

Is the start->run command to connect. (same as last time). This test should be noticably slower than the last one - I've also disabled the more complex physics engine for this test. I'm aiming to try get some information about network lockups.

Rebooted the region (apparently a tracing profiler is too much for this once more than 3-4 people login)

Test done. Got 8000 prims built with quite a few avs and it didnt explode.

np. We did trash the sim in the end (something to do with new attachment code), but things are looking fairly resiliant lately.
