My Mood: | Clouds and permissions I finally got my opensim (region) connected to the OS Grid but now when I log in, i'm a cloud. I tried taking everything off and relogging but that didn't help. Also, I can't set permissions on my region. When I click on 'about land' the owner's name is 'Xxx User'. I can't set media or assign an estate manager or 'no build', etc. Any suggestions? Oh, Joshua, it was easy to connect to the grid once I went in and modified my router to the right IP. |

My Mood: | By default, yes. To change that you want to go to your Opensim.ini file and replace/add the line that says serverside_object_permissions = true and make sure that's set to true. (The default is false, which lets everyone do whatever) Then in your Opensim/bin/Regions folder you should see default.xml, something like that. Right click the file and edit it in notepad or something. You want to make sure these lines are in there: master_avatar_uuid="00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000" master_avatar_first="First Name" master_avatar_last="Last Name" master_avatar_pass="OSGrid Password" Replace that with your own info (I think you leave UUID blank), and that should give you god mode over your sim. Obviously then you save and restart the sim for the changes to take place. |
