Unicycle Teacher Faces Sexual Batter Charges

(St. Johns County, FL) -- A Putnam county man who was hired by the parents of two girls to teach the girls how to ride a unicycle sexually molested the girls investigators said. Daniel Snodgrass, 54-years-old is behind bars. One girl is nine-years-old and the other girl is 16-years-old. the family signed a contract on September 11th for him to train the girls but the girls finally told family members that he was molesting them during their lessons. The family contacted the police. Putnam County Sheriff Dean Kelly said Snodgrass tied the nine-year-old girl up to a bed and sexually abused her. He fondled the 16-year-old girl outside her clothing. There may be more victims because deputies found more than 50 photographs, clothing and the unicycles in Snodgrass' home. Snodgrass has been denied bond by a judge. He faced one count of capital sexual battery.

Actually, though this thread was started to make fun of Florida, I do feel terrible for those girls.

What parents in this day and age would leave their children alone with an adult giving any kind of lessons? I can only surmise that they felt the girls would be safe since they were together?

I just don't understand what goes on in people's heads anymore.

Ok, here's the Japanese fact of the day.
Everyone here can unicycle.

Why?

All primary schools have enough unicycles for every kid and all primary school students are encouraged to use them at play time because riding a unicycle improves balance and is fun for the kids.
Of course, they are free to play with skipping ropes, balls, etc, but a lot really do love their unicycles. Also, I like watched groups of kids chase each other on unicycles, sort of like watching flies swarming (but riding a wheel)

That's very likely that's exactly what they were thinking, that the older child would be old enough to protect the younger child.

It's not that bizzare....

And parents leave their kids for all manner private lessons, from musical intruments to specialized gymnastics to helicopter piloting.

It's all about making the kids better then we were at those ages. The roomie's already got her little baby signed up for pre-toddler kickboxing.
