I am home alone...

My cat jumps up in my lap and seems to want to comfort me. Then as if to intentionally discomfort me he looks over my shoulder with that flat-eyed OMG look.

Fucking cat is freaking me out.

Because I am such a friggin whale, I usually buy my clothes to be as loose and baggy as possible. Yes, I know it can make you look bigger but it also makes me look shapeless, which is what I want.

Well, last night I bought some new clothes (4 pants, 2 shirts = $30! WOW!) and when I put them on this morning, the pants were HUGE on me. I got my normal size but it looks like I need to go down a size.

Also, apparently shirts that actually fit me make my boobs look bigger. At least from what 2 of my freinds have said so far.

But yay for weight loss! Soon I can be a baby whale instead of a full fledged one.

Way to go Verti! I really admire your determination, and it looks like it's paying off. And I could do with something to make my boobs look bigger

I'm not coping with life in the UK.
I feel I need to be in Japan but at the same time, I need to be totally fluent in Japanese rather than simply conversational.
I don't belong anywhere.

I need to go home, to Japan, yet I also know it won't solve my loneliness.

No fair! I got two pairs of pants and two shirts yesterday for $120, and thought I was getting a deal

Congrats on the weight loss, though! Be proud of your body!

I've heard that most dating web sites are a scam.

I was in the book store today and was looking through Buddhadharma magazine and saw an ad for this site:

dharmaMatch - Where Spiritual Singles Meet

Hehehe, I had to laugh because I'm sure it a bunch of crap, but I'm intrigued. Have any of you had any experience with dating sites in general, or by some miracle this particular site?

My brother just got married to a wonderful woman he met on Match.Com. As he is almost completely free of charm, is painfully snobby, and has the warmth of an iceberg, this is a major miracle. She's so great that some of her humanity is actually rubbing off on him. We all love her, and they are very happy.

I beg to differ.

The natives just make fun of the way I talk.

Plus, now they totally think everyone from NYC is an asshole/bitch.

A scam? How do they scam you? Put fake people in?

I met my husband over matchmaker.com

The only thing I can think of that is "scam"-like is maybe their claims of matching personalities. The ones where you get to browse through people's profiles and send them messages work well enough.

I've read about some that take money and never give you details of anyone who is remotely interested in you, or who you would be interested in. They just keep saying "i'm sorry, noone has matched blah blah" for months. i think there was one that admitted it didn't actually have any one on the books, they just took peoples money and forgot about them.

But it's great that you met your hubby like this
