Please help me find this necklace?

No, this is not a Second Life content thread

One of my morning habits of late is to get my morning news from Robin Meade on CNN. She's so beautiful, and always wears something interesting.

So last week I spotted a necklace around her neck that took my breath away. It had a number of colored discs on it, from subtle yellow to green, all translucent.

I've been Googling all the jewelry sites I can find and no luck. I think the discs were either quartz, glass or possibly some other stone but the shape was more like a coin and I don't think they make gemstones in that shape. So I'm leaning toward quartz or glass. The coins were dangling from the neck chain.

I'm at my wits' end. Got any cool websites that offer this sort of jewelry?

Not sure if they would have it, but you could check Lia Sophia. They have a lot of natural stone, and some glass necklaces.

for shape -- discs like this:

or like this:

was the size the size of dime? of a quarter? of a dollar coin (an old one)? larger than that?

this is a yellow gem called citrine -- its a form of quartz. was it this sort of color? lighter? darker? more orange? more red?

these are some green stones -- what type is most representative?

jade:

this is aventurine which is a form of quartz. green is the most common color but it does come in yellow but having a hard time finding a pic of it. as you can see, the shades of green are gradient:

this is some red aventurine:

alright lets stop here and see if you can narrow down the vast selection for me. if you don't see anything similar above, at least some color swatches would be helpful

If i could find a picture somewhere, I'd know what to search for. Sorry

[quote=Vivianne Draper;776807]

That's the rough shape. Size was more like a dollar, maybe bigger. Actually the coins were in several sizes along the chain.

I was thinking it might have been citrine but it's hard to tell when the discs were so thin and translucent. Colors ranged from yellow to orange to red with (I think) a couple of green discs thrown in.

Sorry guys. I'm going on memory here, but I just know if I can find a supplier that sells that type of necklace I can find something really close. Since we're talking about Robin Meade, I'm sure it was expensive.

Could have been various shades of jade discs.

You might look at fragments.com --- ylang23.com----twistonline.com
You might find something similar.

I was watching one of my favorite shows "Head Case" and Alexandra Wentworth, was wearing a necklace I fell in love with. Looked all over, but never found it. Did find something similar though.

Good luck, the search is on!

Contact Robin at the station (email or whatever contact info she has on CNN) and ask her about the necklace.

Just don't tell her that you are one of her stalkers and you should get an answer.

No. She wears different stuff every day and I'd have no idea what to tell them.

Oh, fer cryin out loud! Just email her (or the station) and tell them that you loved the necklace that she was wearing on *insert day* and you were wondering where she got it.

The details of her wardrobe are probably in the credits for that days show anyways...so they can easily check.

..or are you chicken?

I'm too lazy. That's why I have the internet I ordered the one Sans showed me, as well as this one, an agate cluster. I don't normally wear necklaces that heavy, but for some reason this year I'm in the mood for wearing stones. Neither one is exactly what I saw Robin Meade wearing, but it's in the ballpark.

Then add the necklace description with as much detail as you can give. It would also help if you remember what she was saying at the time.
