My Mood: SL Join Date: 5/13/2006 | I'd be worried about stiff neck & the ultra-dry air from an air conditioner that close to my mouth 8 hours a night, but it does look really cool (heh....) so I voted maybe

My Mood: | I voted Yes! before even taking the time to scroll down and read. It would have to be silent, though. A silent air-conditioner? Doubtful. I think an air-tight, flexible container you could fill with ice, then fit inside a pillow made for it would be better. Like those red hot water bottles we used to have, but for ice.

My Mood: SL Join Date: January 2005 | NO! I mean come on, how decadent and energy wasting does our society have to be? It's ok to be slightly uncomfortable once in a while. Really, it is.

Meow, meow...
| For someone like me, (living in Florida, post menopausal and post chemo) this would be a dream come true. Also, something like this would probably save energy because people like me would otherwise have the AC on much lower. Hubby is always complaining about being cold and I'm always hot. I'd buy one in a heart beat. In fact I did buy a chillo (a pillow that you fill with water and put in the fridge and then put under your pillow). Problem is - I have cats and they have nails. I also bought special PJs that help keep you cooler. Every little bit helps.

Meow, meow...
| https://www.hystersisters.com/xcart/...cat=244&page=1 They are great! (Lord I can't believe what I reveal in a public forum) but after the chemo, combined with menopause I had horrible night sweats that were so bad I had to change PJs and often change the sheets. These PJs are wonderful. This is also the site that sells the chillo. |

Of course, the epidural didn't suck, either. Personally, I don't look at having an air conditioned pillow as excessive. My first thought was "Wow, maybe we'd be able to run the central air less if our pillows were blowing out cool air!" But then, my family and I live in the 9th Gate of Hell (AKA Florida).
