You can have it! They were originally calling for 3-5" of total accumulation, but since we got 6" last night/this morning and the storm is nowhere near done, they've upped it to 8-12". Between the snowfall and the wind, I wound up with a drift on my car hood that was literally roof high...so much fun when you're already running late, have no idea where you left your gloves, and have already put the snow shovel away for the season!

Oh, and the roads...it's warm enough to make things slushy where people are driving, but still cold enough to maintain a nice layer of ice underneath. Blech.

Every year for Easter my mother gets me a big hollow chocolate cat (instead of a bunny, see?) from a little sweet shop near my home town. Every year they seem to not be sure what to put in place of the eyes, sometimes it's a smear of icing or sometimes a bit of colored sugar, sometimes nothing and sometimes a couple of black dots or something. This year.... it has a pair of enormous googley pop eyes and it looks absolutely terrified





I feel less inclined to nibble on the ear of an absolutely terrifed cat

I can actually imagine the plot now - the tale of a sweet shop owner driven insane by the staring, accusatory eyes of a chocolate cat, kind of like a combination of the plots of that story about the woman driven insane by yellow wallpaper and Poe's "Tell-tale heart".

Well... I was chatting with some guy who pinged me out of the blue yesterday in one of those IM's from beyond. We were having a rather decent chat for about half an hour until he said "first and foremost I am an American" and i said "Go Team USA" and then he said "yea but the c___(derogatory word for Chinese)'s took over the olympics" and then I said "oh no wer'e not going to start useing racial slurs" and he laughed. Then I said do you realize you've been speaking to a jew this whole time, you'll get kicked out of the white supremacist rally" and I called him a Nazi.

I have been in a very dark place and it means a LOT to be hugged!



I am not good at expressing what ails me - that's part of the problem - so it comes out in dribs and drabs and derails me. In some ways in my life I am doing better than ever before, definitely financially I am finally able to tread water. At the same time so much of my life is "normal," all the demons in my head that say I don't deserve normalcy try to undermine me with flashbacks and general anxiety.

So my first order of business is to get a handle on my fatigue, and then go looking for a support group that's not far from my job. Also much more of this could be just fatigue than I realize. Cancer-related fatigue can really play games with my mind if I don't keep that in consciousness as a possibility.
