I'm cleaning out the spare room. The more I dig into it the more I wonder just exactly what I was thinking for all of those years. I have TONS of fabric and patterns that I'm never going to use. Not to even mention all the yarn. The cross stitch stuff I can justify but the rest of this? Ughhh. I don't even know where to get rid of it all without sending it to the dump.

I've bought bags/boxes of old yarns (wool and floss) off ebay before. Worth a go to get some extra cash

There are loads of stash collections, fabric remnants on ebay too. If you're willing to put the time in to put it up for sale, i'm sure you can make something out of it.

So my two month test run is up. I had reoccurring stomach problems for the last year ever since I had a bad reaction to some antibiotics and at the urging of a friend of mine, I decided to try this macrobiotic Grass SuperFood stuff. After slugging some of this stuff down everyday mixed in with milk and some Carnation breakfast shake, my year long stomach problem has come to an end.

Tastes like ass, but it works and I'm pretty sure I'm getting some nice health supplements as well...

Hubby and I are discovering this. Scads of hobbies, projects, and outright toys. Games unplayed and books unread.

We need money too much to donate or toss it all. But, damn, eBay is like a second job.

Maybe I could spend less time on Second Life ...

First day of my business trip went really well, clients are pleased and I arrived back at my hotel room exhausted. But hungry. So wandered out to grab some quick deli food. Problem is, I was so unfocused that I grabbed the food but didn't think to also grab a drinking straw or fork or spoon. Now waiting for my smoothie to melt enough to drink without landing on my face. Fortunately, hummus is finger food for as long as the pita bread holds out.

My husband and I have to work a full day on Saturday. Mandatory overtime. Temps can't afford to not be there, even though it's going to be an incredibly slow day for those of us not in production. My daughter is old enough to babysit my son, since our childcare center isn't open on Saturdays. However, my daughter's paternal great-grandmother passed away. God love her heart, she was 100 this past November. My daughter really wants to go to the funeral on Saturday. I can't say no...it's her family. I'll have to hit up my sister to babysit. This probably won't go well. She's never happy when I ask. Although, I'm hoping she'll be understanding since it's her son's paternal great-grandmother as well. (His and my daughter's dad are brothers.)

One of the best breakfasts I ever had was in a hotel - but it was in Singapore and so they were catering for 4 different styles of breakfast. Western, Indian, Chinese and I-have-no-idea-but-it-tasted-great.

I went up 4 times and my noshing included fresh made waffles, eggs, chinese dumpling thingies and samosas and some other things I didn't recognise at all. Washed down with mango juice and tea and followed up with a mini chocolate muffin

It had been a heavy night out and I hadn't actually slept or eaten since 7pm the previous night aaaand I had a 11 hour flight ahead of me. I was allowed to pig out dammit!! Stop calling me fatso behind my back

I would love to take you up on that. Unfortunately I live on the east coast and shipping costs on this much would be outrageous. I have concerns about the shipping costs even if I sell it through ebay. I'll figure something out.

I'm in Chicago, the Lyric Opera theatre is just blocks away from my hotel... and the cheapest seats for Aida are $117.

Gotta say, one of the better concerts I've ever seen. Toots is incredible. I feared it would be some greatest hits cabaret thing where he told stories about his life. It was not that at all.

I can vouch that Ayu is fun to hang around with, if a bit creepy.

Wait no that's me. She's just fun to hang out with.

My cat has been meowing at me like crazy and at first I was like OMG!!! WHATS AH MATTER *hand on mouth shocked face* (my cat is the most non vocal, passive, leave you alone type of cat and I often don't hear him meow for weeks. I'd describe him as the cool person you see every once in a while, shoot the shit with and then go about your day)

I was checking him for anything that might seem wrong, fed him, made sure he has water, everything.

after the 8th pass of the door I realized what was going on. He was pawing at the front door, he want's out....

let him out today for a minute until he started eating stuff that wasn't good for him and now he wants out again. He needs to realize however that he will be eaten by real animals that live in the forest in our back yard (coyotes, raccoons) and that he's a indoor cat anyway.

He's not like our old cat, our old cat lived outdoors for a good year or two and knew what went down out there. (and then we still didn't let him out)

And I have a sneaking suspicion that this cat has confidence issues when it comes to jumping.... I've never seen a cat have to get ready to jump up to something 14 times only to say "ah fuck it" and walk away to do something else.

Does stuff that wasn't good for him mean grass or plants?

I almost achieved my life goal of getting a speeding ticket while riding a bicycle! I was riding down one of the bigger hills around here and just decided to not drag my breaks. A cop pulled me over and asked if I knew how fast I was going. I claimed I didn't inspite of the fact that there is a bright pink speedometer on my bike. He let me go.
