My Mood: SL Join Date: 1/2008 | Must be some sort of cat thing. The kittens who adopted me and live primarily outdoors have so far scavenged all sort of things and deposited them in the backyard. And dismantled two windchimes, part of the fence, some sort of weird cat ball with a fake mouse inside and rearranged all the stones on the koi pond. Guess they're gathering building supplies for something. I figure they have some sort of plan with all this. |

don't need status
| More on the keyboard saga: Pounding on the keyboard worked for a bit. When that failed, picked up new batteries and pounded some more. When that failed, pounded again. And again. Therapeutic, but not so effective. It did lead to some internal philosophical Hobbesian discourse, however. Then I ordered a wireless keyboard, but with the original keyboard suddenly terminal due in part to my Hobbesian choice I needed a new keyboard immediately. Problem: I will only use a split key keyboard, and Best Buy / Target / Micro Center want real money ($60+) for those. Apparently "ergonomic" is Latin for "profit center". I found a cheap refurbished wired keyboard on eBay with local pickup for $15, which I'll keep as a backup when the nicer wireless comes in. I also found some nice local places to buy cheap used/refurbished electronics. I don't mind not getting new: not only is it cheaper (and I don't need the latest and greatest), but it also doesn't come with that new Chinese slave labor smell. So I'm happy. I'm getting 2 nice ergonomic keyboards for $55, which is $45 less than a new single ergonomic keyboard would have cost me at Micro Center or Best Buy. And next time my keyboard fails (which is about once a year) I won't be panicking and dropping real coin. |

| Dehydration can cause leg cramps too. Cramps in my calves used to wake me up at night and I'd be hopping madly on the floor trying to stretch it out. I haven't gotten many since I started drinking a glass of water before going to bed. I get up faster in the morning too! ![]() And if that fails, er ... pickled banana I guess ![]()

| I want one of those Happy Hacker keyboards, and I like hearing the clacking of my keys. It lets me know how good I'm doing with my typing. Over the last few days, I have talked to several women who had healthy babies in their early to mid-40s. One had two children after 40, is now 47, and wants another! I don't know if I should be freaked out or encouraged. |
