I quit smoking today.

Well, I started. I've had 1/2 a cigarette in 36 hours, down from 14 cigarettes in 12 hours the day before.

I am now going straight to the kitchen, where I am going to eat until I fucking keel over.

Day one: success.

I was told sunflower seeds were good for helping quit smoking, but all they did for me was make me addicted to one more thing

I'm sick with the worst cold of the season. 45 minutes until I can take more Mucinex and have some relief (and sleep, hopefully, but P2 has this same cold and we haven't been sleeping much the past few days).

this might sound dumb, but try spicy food, or cinnamon candy, like red hots. It fools you into thinking you're eating more.

I have new sofas. Theyre so gorgeous and comfy that I woke up early to go sit in them and stroke them.
Theyre made by a firm called Tetrad and Im not sure theyre available outside the UK.

The seat and back cushions are made out of 100% feathers and down and are the nicest things Ive ever sat on. Id never heard of the firm before until my sister got a pair of sofas.

Theyre wonderful and I can recommend them to anyone thinking of getting a new sofa.

The police did come and asked lots of questions but the people they suspected did the job weren't at home. They had no advice for me except to see to the locks on the windows etc. Then I had to go to work so I don't know if there was any ensuing drama. I am now downloading all important things onto a flash stick in case the computer gets stolen. I should keep backups in any case - especially all the photos
