I may be terminally clumsy today. I walked into the dresser, the bedroom doorway, the bathroom doorway, the corner where the hall feeds into the living room... I made it into the kitchen for breakfast OK, but then stuck a mascara wand in my eye a bit later.

So far, no cars or stairs have been involved though, so that's a bonus.

Ok. I bought a ton of frozen pizzas and an assortment of microbrew beers for my houseguest who should arrive today. I have a bunch of pillows and a comforter on the sofa, which is already ridiculously comfortable. I've removed all the David Beckham porn lying around. That is all I can do. My hostess responsibilities are now discharged.

Oh, and I ordered a new monitor...20", up from the 17" one I have now. I considered a 22", but that just seemed too huge for the space my computer is in. The 20" will be a nice improvement.

My housemate/cousin is in debt to me to the tune of several thousand dollars, and has been missing for weeks, having abandoned his responsibilities and even his pet dog, to my care.

I'm presently getting ready to start clearing out and selling his stuff, and having him removed from the tenancy. I don't want to do this, but I just feel so used.

I'm reliably informed he's living comfortably with a friend in a location he won't tell me, while his creditors keep calling here.

This is truly nobody cares I think, but I can't stop freaking out over a new synth I've bought. It's a software recreation of the ARP Oddysey, which was used on a host of seminal releases, Oxygene, Herbie Hancock's Chameleon, Kraftwerk's Autobahn, Ultravox's Vienna, Visage's Fade To Grey, Human League's Love Action... the list goes on and on. Better still, they included all those sounds in the presets. I guess I should actually knuckle down, get into the programming and start using it on my tracks, but right now I'm having too much fun playing along with Fade To Grey.

One day I'll actually finish something, but it's still early days for me producing wise. I've spent the last few years or so just figuring out how to programme synths well and the whole engineering side, learning how to make the sounds sound great and stuff. But I'm getting closer to that point, lately it's really clicked for me and I'm thinking I could get to release stage sometime within the year, but maybe there will be some demo things pretty soon the way it's going, and this ARP will be all over the place I'd say now. We picked up our 2 kittens today! \o/ We have a boy, who is white and very friendly and boisterous and a little girl (Rosie) who is shy and has spent the day in hiding

We found out today that the boy (Marshmallow) is deaf, the dear little thing. So here is a pick of the non-shy kitten, Marshmallow

I just came back from visiting the zoo with my niece and nephew. It was Halloween at the zoo, so all the little kids were in costumes. Too cute, especially the tiny toddler wearing robes and Yoda ears.

At the primate house, there was sign that said, "Please do not use gestures or sign language in front of the animals....".

So the whole time I was there I wanted to tell the chimps that the keys are on the guys belt! His belt! And you can take him! He's wimpy, and you're a giant chimp! Freedom is just one assault and robbery away!

But I didn't.
