In good news today, the cells that my doctor is all worried about are not a recurrence of what I had before. In bad news, we couldn't do the biopsy today and will have to wait a month. So I don't know if they are benign or not yet

I'm having this problem at work with some perverted jerk that just won't leave me alone. For the past week, every time I get out of work there he is and will not stop wolf whistling and saying the most disgusting things at me.

I'm kind of used to such jerk faces and usually outwit them and make them feel dumb for believing they will intimidate me, but there is something about this guy that scares me a lot, the more I ignore him the angrier his voice seems to get when he is calling me. I really don't know what to do, my boyfriend is also fuming mad at the pal and is on the verge of hunting him down and cutting his testicles off.

You guys think I should confront him and make him see I'm not weak or find a new route to going home?

Is this guy a random stranger on the street or someone you know? Do you have any security guard type people at work? Call the police? There is no way this guy should hassle you the way he is!!

I don't think it's a matter of 2 options of either looking weak or having a confrontation. There are systems in place to help - like police. Try them first.

Hm. If you do confront him, make sure you are not alone. I would consider filing a complaint somewhere just to have it on record.

Some sickos dont want a weak person. To see someone challenge them might be the power trip he needs. I would let somone know whats going on and find a new way home.

Your employer has an obligation to keep a safe working environment for his employees. It's also in his best interest. Even if this 'man' (and I use the term loosely) doesn't work there, he is still harassing you when you leave your place of employment. Tell your boss, you may not be the only one.

Well I did all those things, btw he is a complete stranger who I've never seen in my life before. I told my boss about him and we agreed that he would leave the office minutes before me and then phone me to let me know if he is there or not so I can avoid him and take a different route.

Bad new though was that the only route available into town was that one and I really needed to pay my debts, so I thought "I'll try and confront him, its plain daylight and there are tourists everywhere" so I did, I told him that he should be ashamed of his behaviour and to go buy a dirty magazine somewhere and leave me alone.

Last thing I did was talk to my father about it and on Monday he will wait for me on the oppersite side of the road to see how bad the guy is and then we will go and report it to the police in hopes that they will warn him to leave me alone.

I feel much safer now

I would still file a police report. There are laws against stalking and harassment and it may help you later to have something on file if there ever is a physical confrontation between this man and you or one of your family or friends defending.

ETA: I hadn't read your further posts till after I posted. But often a mistake people make is not bothering to file a police report (an incident report) because they think the police "can't do anything". While it's true that they can't take any action, usually, unless something has gotten physical, simply having a prior report on hand when something does happen will help you and hurt the other guy. It will show a history.

Imagine for example, if there is ever a confrontation between this guy and your boyfriend. When the police have to break up a fight and decide who to file charges against, that prior record could be the thing that keeps your boyfriend from going to jail.

Or worst case scenerio, if something were to happen to you, that police report will have the police looking in the right direction for their primary suspect.

I have to agree. File a report regardless of police action. I've had to file numerous reports against my ex-husband for phone and internet harassment. Even though he's not living in the US, if I ever found out that he was coming to the US, I'd contact my local police and slap a restraining order on him so fast that his head would spin. I have at least 10 complaints against him filed with my local police authorities (and his), so they already have a history that they can use as reference.

Harassment is nothing to take lightly. It can proceed from what seems fairly harmless to the point where you are truly afraid for your physical well-being. Trust me.

Besides, this creepy guy may ALREADY have a history with the cops, and yours might be the report that causes them to take action.

They look like excellent carrots to me! They would be just fine in salads or in a vegetable soup or a stew. The little carrots can just go into the soup scrubbed, without even needing to cut them up. I scrub off little carrots with one of those silvery dish scrubber things reserved for just this purpose. Heck, if I know the carrots were organic grown sometimes I'll just wash in soap and water and not peel them at all.

Thats what my father and I are going to do on Monday, he is going to be on the other side of the road to see what kind of things the guy does and says to me. After that we are going to go to the police and ask them if they can do something to make him stop. My father should count as a witness right?
