We normally watch it, because it's akin to being royalty and having traveling entertainers trying to impress you while you sit on a throne and then have them killed or rewarded with land. Or at least that's how I see it. This season's host is a jumbo sized douchebag though

| I just burnt my daughter's hand!  I made her do the dishes and when I came in I smelled something funky from the dishwasher, so I told her I think something fell through the rack and is burning, like a plastic container or something. She opened it and said she saw something (turns out it was a piece of tin foil  ) in the bottom.So I said, "Pull it out then." *sigh* bad mommy! She reached in and immediately yanked her hand away and screamed. Now she has a nice ugly round burn on the palm of her hand from the heat element and I feel like a complete shit of a parent.

That's believable because I have tested my own blood sugar. So now I am on two prescriptions. I actually feel better. This week I'm going back to the docs to find what else is wrong with me! lol. | |

My mother had a lymphedema a few years ago. She went for a hernia operation, and they found it wasn't a hernia but a huge lump on the lymph node in her groin. Thankfully it was benign, but she ended up with a lymphedema due to the operation, and it took a couple of months to clear. I can remembering that happening because of the circumstances. She went to her Doctor (who she hated), and the incision above the lymphadema was still partially open due to follow up treatment (associated with draining, infection control, stuff like that). Anyway, the Doc pressed on the lump, it exploded, and she took a full blast of two month old stinky lymphatic fluid to the face.  | |

That thing with the lymphedema your mother had sounds painful too. I hope she is okay now. Between surgery that included a lymph node biopsy, and radiation, it seems that my damage is upstream of my very puffy and pressurized legs. So the medication I am on seems to be helping with that. Also I am adjusting my methods for coping with it which helps too. Walking is getting easier which means I can start doing more of it again |
