I opened up my historical art book to look at a few images of Egyptian art and ended up reading about the Amara age (those groovy hipsters!) and all about the neo-Sumerian ruler Gudea's insatiable love of diorite. This is essentially a shout out in blurb form to Khamudy, who I bet is one of the only ones who knows exactly what I'm talking about

My Mood:  SL Join Date: 5/13/2006 | What a week Monday, I'm informed that my wife is leaving me and, oh yeah, since she never allowed me to help with the bills, and never paid the bills herself, our house is getting foreclosed on. Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday were spent begging her to not leave...because I'm stupid. Thursday night was spent telling her I'm done being nice and it's my turn to not be fair for once. She should have thought about needing a place to go before she dicked me over and said she was leaving in the same breath, so she can leave on her own Friday, or I'd have the authorities escort her out. Friday, before she left, she said oh yeah, the forecolsure auction is on July 2nd...1.5 weeks from now. So I looked on Craigslist, and the first call I made this morning resulted in a cute little apartment in the nicer area of downtown here, fairly historic building, went down and checked it out, put a deposit down, and my son and I are moving in next week. Let's hope the rest of the ensuing bullshit goes as easily.

My Mood:  SL Join Date: May 2007 XBOX Leaderboard: 19th  | Descending deep into enemy territory tomorrow when I go to visit the Historia Mundi event. It goes on in French-speaking Belgium. I already draped a "Flanders Independent" flag under the rear window of my car in plain view and prepared my Blackshirt outfit to wear. But before I leave for the south I have to visit the local 1000 year old Oak (700 year old technically, but folklore claims it's 1000 years old) by sunrise (so before 5:29 AM) to hail the sun on this Summer Solstice as it rises over Europe and its people.
