![]() You *could* hope for a Boston sweep instead. A warm, happy, cuddly Mereille is much much better than an upset, touchy, petulant Mereille. ![]()

My Mood: | Quote: ![]() Personally, I was glad when Boston won a while back, so we don't hear all of that belly-aching about the "Curse of the Bambino" any more. Gads, that was tiresome. If the Cubs win, then we wouldn't hear any more about the "Curse of the Billy Goat" or whatever other lame excuse Cubs fans are for that bunch of losers in Wrigley Field. (You think the Lions are screwups - at least it's only been 50 year since they won anything.)(And yeah, I know who the Cubs beat in 1908 - and 1907. The Tigers got 'em back in '34 and '45.) I am an old-fashioned sports fan - I root for the home team and the underdog. It looks like the biggest underdogs out there are the Brewers, so I hope they win. But I really don't give a damn. ![]() | |

| Why would you hate this years Boston team? They fought through injury all season long. 2/3's of the current team is all home grown players and not free agents and they are a fun group of guys. It is a team of true grit.

My Mood: | Personally I am thrilled that the Yankees aren't even a factor this year and that the Beantown Boys are still going strong. I would love the Red Sox to go to the World Series but just them having made it further then the Yankees make me quite content. ![]() |

My Mood: | Man, Boston really has The Angels number when it comes to the playoffs. I find the Angels silly. Here's what they call themselves, officially: "The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim." Translate that all to English and you get this: "The The Angels Angels of Anaheim." It is almost as silly as the fact that in the NFL, New York City is actually located in New Jersey. Regards, -Flip

| Flip, I am hoping for a Philly - Boston series. I think it is unlikely but I think it would be a very exciting series....at least for us east coasters it would be. The rest of the country many not have a desire to watch it. |

SL Join Date: January 2007 | I really don't care who wins in the AL, Tampa Bay would be good for the story I guess. I almost always pull for the NL, the only exceptions were in 96 I was thrilled to see the Yankess scalp the Braves, and in '04 I did pull for Red Sox. As far as the NL goes, I am behind the Cubbies right now, with the Dodgers as my 2nd choice. If the worst case does come to be, I will grudingly pull for the Phillies.....*sigh* |

SL Join Date: January 2007 | The Angels have a big ghost to excise if they can beat the Sox, going back to 1986. *Feels warm and fuzzy thinking about that year*. If they can pull it off, maybe poor Donnie Moore can rest in peace. |

My Mood: | Go easy on poor Ned. He's a little (lot?) upset that I turned on the game last night while we were cuddling in our pool. It was an unthinking, selfish thing to do. I think I am directly responsible for his sudden Angels fandom. ![]() |
